St. David's Hotel - Beca & Matt

Diolch - Thank you so much for the photos. They are everything we wanted and are simply amazing!!

After the initial bridal preparations at Beca’s family home in Cardiff, I met a very happy and relaxed Matt at Minny Street Welsh Congregational Church in Cathays.

The guests had been treated to a ride on a London Routemaster Bus, which looked great parked outside the Church. Beca then arrived in a vintage Volkswagen Beetle convertible provided by Lovebugweddings with the Bridesmaids mode of transportation  a stunning Camper Van.

After a wonderful ceremony full of laughter and fabulous singing we headed to Cardiff Bay.

Beca and Matt chose the St. David’s Hotel & Spa as the venue for their reception. Stylish,  contemporary and ideally situated on the waterfront. It boasts panoramic views across both the Bay and City. These views, take-in the National Assembly building, designed by Richard Rogers, Wales Millenium Centre and the Pierhead building which makes a unique backdrop for the more formal group shots. The stunning lobby area is also a great place to get a shot of everybody before retiring to the Dylan Thomas suite for the Wedding Breakfast.

The only AA Rated Five Star Hotel in Cardiff the St. David's Hotel & Spa makes a bold statement with it’s contemporary architecture, which looks even more dramatic as evening approaches and the building lights-up.

Fortunately for all of us Robbie Williams wasn’t staying at the Hotel as he has a habit of throwing televisions from his suite into the waters of the Bay. That was, however, back in 2005 when televisions had a bit more to them. I dare say you would hardly notice the splash from a modern flat-screen.
